At the heart of the city center, the historical food market is located between via Albinelli and piazza XX settembre. Inside the historical building, the younger generations have often inherited the family business, preserving traditional knowledge. The Market is ruled by a Consortium, an association formed by the largest majority of operators. Every two years the meeting of the consortium members appoints the Board of directors. The Board includes Andrea Solieri, president; Alberto Sirotti, vice president; Sergiu Fodor, Silvia Garretto, Lorella Vaschieri, Gianluca Venturelli, Isabella Giliberti, advisors. Federazione Associazioni Servizi Assistenziali di Lapam Confartigianato, is responsible for administrative, operative and fiscal management of the Albinelli market. These are shops in which, at least in some cases, from generation to generation, families have handed down the trade and have maintained product continuity within the historical architecture. It is the place par excellence where the most precious things of the Modenese food and wine heritage show off, a real and non-virtual square ready to welcome and amaze, as it has always done, tourists visiting the city.
It is governed by the Consortium, to which the majority of operators adhere. The Assembly of consortium members appoints the Board of Directors every two years.
In June 2021, the new Council was elected and it is made up of Andrea Solieri, president; Alberto Sirotti, vice president; Sergiu Fodor, Silvia Garretto, Lorella Vaschieri, Gianluca Venturelli, Isabella Giliberti, directors.
The Federation of Associations of Welfare Services of Lapam Confartigianato administratively, operationally and fiscally manages the Albinelli Market.
